As a Data Engineer specialising in Analytics Engineering, you ensure that raw data is transformed into reliable, well-structured datasets for analysis and dashboards. You model, transform and document data so that analysts and other users can get straight to work with data products.You’ll work proactively with colleagues to translate data needs into analyses, reports and visualisations that make complex information accessible. An advisory role on next steps based on your insights is also in your wheel house. And actively contribute to strengthening data-driven working practices within Scholt Energy. You’ll also contribute ideas on modern analytical methods and mentor less experienced colleagues.
You work closely with other data engineers, data analysts and the business to develop data products that make a real impact. You maintain and improve the processes within the Scholt Data Platform and carefully analyse the impact of changes. You translate business processes into scalable data models and contribute to business cases. In addition, you tackle more complex tasks independently, keep documentation up to date and contribute ideas on modern data solutions. You mentor less experienced colleagues and continue to build the data-driven foundation on which Scholt increasingly relies.
You are an experienced data professional with a strong academic background and a clear specialization in data, combining technical expertise with business understanding. You are able to translate organizational needs into scalable data solutions, work effectively in Agile environments, and proactively drive results while inspiring others with your interest in modern technologies.
Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Econometrics, Marketing Analytics or a similar field with a clear specialisation in data.
Strong technical skills in SQL, Python, Databricks, and Git (Power BI is a plus)
Experience with data modeling techniques such as Kimball or Data Vault and working in Agile environments
Analytical, proactive, and communicative, with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions and inspire others
