Take ownership of an application that makes a difference 

As an Application Analyst – Fixation, you’ll be at the heart of a process that’s essential to our services. The Fixation App helps our customers make decisions about locking in parts of their energy portfolio. And you’ll ensure that this application gets a little better every day. You’re not just the person who knows how the application works. You also understand the process behind it, know the users and know what it takes to turn business requirements into smart IT solutions.

You’re the link between business and development

You’ll work daily with a small development team of three developers and a Product Owner. Together, you’ll develop and improve the Fixatie App.

In doing so, you’ll represent the team to the business and users. You’ll gather requirements, ask the right questions and align needs, technical capabilities and priorities. An incident that needs resolving? A process that could be optimised? Or a new idea from the business? You dive straight in, bring structure to the situation and ensure the team can move forward.

From day-to-day support to smart improvements

You’ll be given a great deal of freedom and responsibility. You’ll support the Fixatie App in its day-to-day use, monitor the ITIL processes within the team and analyse incidents, requests and user enquiries. But you look beyond just today’s solution.

Together with the business, you identify where processes or functionalities could be improved and translate those insights into concrete improvement initiatives. In doing so, you’ll work with test cases, Azure DevOps and SQL, amongst other tools, and follow Agile/Scrum methodologies.

In this way, you’ll have a direct influence on an application that plays a key role within Scholt and in the services we provide to our customers.

What you bring to the role

You are analytical, curious and a strong communicator. You enjoy bridging the gap between technology and business and take ownership of the outcome. You don’t wait for someone to tell you what needs to be done, but instead investigate, ask probing questions and drive improvements yourself.

We’re looking for someone who:

• holds a bachelor’s or master’s degree and, ideally, has experience in application management or functional/technical analysis;
• has experience in writing and executing structured test cases, for example in Azure DevOps;
• has knowledge of SQL, or is motivated to learn it quickly;
• is familiar with or interested in Agile/Scrum;
• can clearly analyse and document complex processes;
• easily gets stakeholders on board with ideas and solutions;
• speaks and writes excellent Dutch and English;
• is keen to take ownership and actively contributes ideas on how applications and processes can work better in the future.
