Become a Senior Power & Gas Portfolio Analyst and take a proactive role in risk management in the energy market!
As a Senior Power & Gas Portfolio Analyst, you’ll be responsible for optimizing and managing our energy portfolio. You’ll combine in-depth market knowledge with data analysis to make strategic decisions and serve as a sounding board for trading, sales, and management.
In this role, you will manage and optimize the entire power and gas portfolio and develop trading and hedging strategies that align with market dynamics. You will conduct comprehensive risk analyses covering market, price, liquidity, and credit risks, and translate developments in the energy markets into concrete strategies and recommendations for the organization. In doing so, you will actively advise internal stakeholders and management, transforming complex data into clear and actionable insights.
In addition, you will continuously work to improve ETRM processes, pricing models, and tools to further enhance the portfolio’s performance. You will maintain relationships with external trading partners and work with trading contracts under EFET and ISDA standards. Given your seniority, you will take a leading role in projects and contribute to the development of colleagues within the team.
Your profile:
- Master’s degree (preferably in a quantitative or economic field)
- At least 5 years of experience in European power and gas markets
- Strong knowledge of trading, portfolio, and risk management
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
- Strong communication skills and persuasive with stakeholders
- Proactive, results-oriented, and takes ownership
