Renewable Energy and Flexibility Account Manager

Are you an experienced sales professional who sees commercial opportunities in complex energy issues and knows how to capitalize on them independently?

At Scholt Energy in the Renewables & Flexibility department, you support Independent Power Producers in making their renewable energy projects profitable. You understand their challenges, analyze their needs and advise which contract form and strategy best suits the producer's specific assets. You provide concrete advice on market information, market prices, deployment of flexibility, revenue models and returns. This is how you make a direct impact on our producers' results.

As Senior Account Manager Renewables & Flexibility you will work with owners of solar farms, wind projects and batteries that are actively deployed in the energy, balancing and congestion markets.
You will focus on producers in the middle and upper segments of the market and will be responsible for independent acquisition and account management. You are a substantive discussion partner and able to convincingly present complex business cases in which technology, finance and energy markets come together.
In addition to convincing and bringing in new producers, you are also responsible for customer management. While working with Scholt Energy, you are the face for the customer. You work closely with colleagues from various departments to provide optimal service to the producer. You also contribute to identifying new market and product opportunities and periodically support the induction of new colleagues.

  • Bachelor degree (master is an advantage), preferably in commercial or energy related direction
  • 3-4 years experience in (field) sales
  • Experience within energy, infrastructure, trading or a similar market is strongly desired
  • Proven experience with the relevant market segment (mid/large corporate)
  • Strong in independent acquisition and strategic account management
  • Financial insight and experience with business cases and returns
  • Able to translate complex issues into commercial opportunities
  • Actively identifies market developments and opportunities for new products
